    Life on land includes the meaning of  preserving the land, utilization natural places, as well as restoring and promoting their sustainable use, combating desertification ,Elimination of poaching، and preserving biodiversity.

The importance of the goal lies in:

1- Preservation of ecosystems.

2- Stop removing trees and cutting them down.

3- Combating desertification.

4- Stop overfishing.

5- Protecting biodiversity.

6- Protecting access to genetic resources.

7- Preventing the introduction of invasive alien species into ecosystems.

facts and stats:

1-   According to United nation department of economic social affairs Sustainable Development website (2022), 10 million hectares of forest are destroyed every year 

Almost 90% of global deforestation is due to agricultural expansion:

49,6% cropland expansion , 38,5%livestock grazing .

2- (Smithsonian n.d.) mention the extinction Rates:

Recent studies estimate about eight million species on Earth, of which at least 15,000 are threatened with extinction. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact extinction rate because many endangered species have not been identified or studied yet.  A number of scientists grapple with improving methods for estimating extinction rates.
